Common questions
How do I link with my partner?
Open Bower → Press "Invite partner". Your partner will get a 6-character code in their email. Your partner enters it on the same screen on their phone. The link is permanent until you unlink it.
My partner can't see my letters / notes / plans.
Two things to check. (1) Make sure the note or letter is marked "Shared" — there's a small icon in the more menu. (2) Make sure you're both signed in to the same couple. Open Bower → Settings → Couple. If it says "Not linked", run the invite flow again.
One of us paid for Bower Forever — does the other partner need to as well?
No. One subscription unlocks both partners. Make sure you're linked first; the second partner gets access automatically.
I subscribed but Forever features are still locked.
Open Bower → Forever → "Restore purchases" at the bottom. That re-checks with the App Store or Google Play. If that doesn't fix it, email us — there's a webhook on our side that occasionally needs a nudge.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS, go to Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Bower → Cancel. On Android, open the Google Play app → Subscriptions → Bower → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Forever until then.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google Play, not by us. For Apple purchases use reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play purchases visit play.google.com/store/account. They're usually understanding if it's within a few days of purchase.
Forgot password / can't sign in.
Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. The reset email arrives within a minute. Check spam if you don't see it. If you're still stuck, email us.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Open Bower → Settings → Account → Delete account. This wipes your half of the couple. Your partner's data stays put — they'll see the link go quiet, and they can unlink on their side. If you'd rather we delete everything for both of you, email us from the address on the account.
Does Bower work without internet?
Most of it, yes. Notes, drafts, and reading work offline. Anything that crosses to your partner (letters, shared notes, sync prompts) needs a connection to deliver — it queues until you're back online.
What happens to my letters and notes if I cancel?
Nothing. We don't delete anything when you downgrade to Free. You'll just hit the Free tier's quotas going forward, and your already-scheduled letters keep their delivery dates.

- Restore a purchase: open Bower → Forever → "Restore purchases".
